Hi I'm Rose

As a Management Accountant specialising in the motor trade for relaxation I used to be a keen, competitive and successful horsewoman.
My life was to change direction in 1994 when after 25 years of chronic pain I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease, a severe and progressive back condition, that impairs my mobility and independence.A change of career was imperative for my wellbeing.
However, how true the saying as 'one door closes another opens'.
For me that door was Tai Chi.

Tai Chi seemed to be an ideal solution
I was introduced to Tai Chi in Walton Hospital Liverpool in 1996. My consultant suggested that I look at ways to keep my body as active as I could within the constraints of my health condition.
Under correct instruction, its slow graceful techniques can be of benefit to most people and help in their own individual way. I was lucky, I had the opportunity to train under the professional instruction of Master Ma Yue from China. Who then encouraged me to go on to teach. I cannot thank him enough for the wonderful skill and guidance he so patiently shared with me.
Through my own experience to date, I know that following Tai Chi principles can lead to positive benefits and a better quality of life, whtever your personal circumstances.
I am a registered NAKMAS ( National Association of Karate and Martial Arts Schools)Tai Chi/Chi Gung Instructer.
It is extremely rewarding to see people develop skills they never knew existed, and to help them to achieve a better quality of life.
